PTFE Coatings

Polytetrafluoroethylene. Matte, color options available finish.

PTFE releases sticky material, resists chemical attack and runs dry. It is applied through the wider Euclid Refinishing coating line rather than in the vacuum chamber, and it is quoted on the same drawing as the PVD work.

Polytetrafluoroethylene

A fluoropolymer film several times thicker than a PVD coating, applied by spray and cured. It is the right answer when the requirement is release and chemical resistance rather than hardness, and it is available in several colors for part identification.

  • Very low friction across a wide chemical range
  • Releases adhesives, resins and sticky powders
  • Available in several colors for identification
  • Applied through the wider Euclid Refinishing line

These are published typical ranges for the PTFE material system. They describe the chemistry. The certified figure for your substrate, geometry and duty comes from the SurfTech data sheet, which is issued with the quote.

Typical applications

  • Release surfaces on molds and chutes
  • Chemical handling components
  • Food and packaging contact
  • Anti-adhesion duty
